SDC Verifier 2025 R2 known issues

1. Incorrect Handling of Width Parameters in Specific Standards

A calculation error has been identified in SDC Verifier 2025 R2 related to the handling of parameters or input of the standard (constants, characteristics, classifications, and standard tables) that have Alias = ‘b’. This issue may lead to incorrect design verifications, member checks, and plate buckling assessments in specific standards and shapes. 

2. Impacted Standards and Checks 

The following standards and corresponding checks are affected: 

  • AISC ASD 89 (9th, 1989) – Rectangular Tube 
  • AISC 360-10 (14th, 2010) – Rectangular Tube, Section T 
  • AISC 360-22 (2022) – Rectangular Tube, Section T, Section L 
  • BV NR615 Plate Buckling (2023) 
  • DNV CG-0128 Plate Buckling (2015) 
  • DNV CG-0128 Plate Buckling (2023) 
  • Eurocode 3 Fire Design (EN 1993-1-2, 2005) – I Shape 
  • Eurocode 3 Members (EN 1993-1-1, 2005) – I Shape, L Shape 
  • IACS UR S35 Plate Buckling (2023) 
  • ISO 19902 (1st, 2007) – Axial, Bending, and Hydrostatic Checks 
  • ISO 19902 (2nd, 2020) – Axial, Bending, Shear, Torsion, and Hydrostatic Checks 
  • LR CSR Plate Buckling (2024) 
  • VDI 2230 (Part 1, 2015) – Characteristic 34 (Width of the clamped parts) 

Workaround

To resolve this issue, install the corrective patch or upgrade to SDC Verifier 2025 R2.1, available for download from personal cabinet https://my.sdcverifier.com/account/products-download.
