Fully implemented elastic analysis and fatigue curve-based assessment for smooth bar design.
ASME VIII Division 2 (2010) defines stress and fatigue requirements for pressure vessel components, using a design-by-analysis approach. In SDC Verifier, this standard enables fatigue assessment using elastic stress analysis and smooth bar fatigue curves, per Chapter 5.5.3 and 3.F.1.
The implementation supports material-specific parameters such as temperature-dependent elastic moduli, allowable stress ranges, and weld quality penalties. You can either use system-calculated fatigue penalty factors or apply user-defined values for full control over Kev and Spk.
All calculations follow the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) methodology and can be used for certification-grade analysis of high-pressure structures in fixed installations.
