Coordiante System
Coordinate systems are used to create and modify geometry, mesh, FEM loads and constraints.
Execute
from the tree to add a new Coordinate System:Set reference coordinate system, method and coordinate system type and press
to start the input if necessary for a new coordinate system.There are methods to create coordinate system by:
- Angles - select origin point of new coordinate system and 3 rotational angles to rotate X axis, Y axis and Z axis of reference coordinate system:
- Workplane - creates a coordinate system by setting the X-Y axes to match those of the current workplane, while the Z axis is positioned perpendicular to the workplane's surface in a positive direction;
- XY locate, YZ locate and ZX locate - each of these approaches necessitates the definition of three sets of coordinates. The first set determines the origin of the coordinate system, while the remaining two sets establish the orientation of its axes:
- XY Axes, YZ Axes and ZX Axes - each of these approaches necessitates the definition of three inputs. The first set determines the origin of the coordinate system, while the two vectors establish the orientation of its axes.
Note: Basic coordinate systems (ID 0 - 2) can not be edited and are created automatically. Other coordinate systems can be modified.
