Eurocode 9 Fatigue (EN 1999-1-3, 2007)

Planned fatigue verification for aluminium structures according to EN 1999-1-3:2007.

About Standard

EN 1999-1-3 provides fatigue design rules for aluminium structures. The planned SDC Verifier support is intended for structural components subject to cyclic loading, where fatigue performance depends on stress range, detail category, load spectrum, and the applicable Eurocode method.

Target verification scope

  • Fatigue checks for supported aluminium members, plates, and welded details.
  • Use of FEA stress results and fatigue-load data required by the released method.
  • Support for released fatigue design approaches and detail classifications.
  • Traceable output showing inputs, assumptions, and governing fatigue result.

Planned workflow in SDC Verifier

The intended workflow is to select supported model regions, assign the required fatigue parameters, map stress results and cyclic loading to the standard, and review the governing result. Final method coverage will be confirmed at release.

Availability

This check is on the SDC Verifier roadmap. The final fatigue methods, detail coverage, and release timing have not yet been finalized.
