API RP 2A-LRFD Members (2019)

API RP 2A-LRFD provides a load-and-resistance-factor design approach for fixed offshore platforms. The planned SDC Verifier support is intended for relevant offshore structural members, particularly tubular members carrying factored axial force, bending, shear, and other applicable actions. 

Target verification scope 

• Member checks for supported offshore tubular sections. 
• LRFD assessment using section data, material properties, and factored design actions. 
• Code-aligned treatment of released member-force combinations and resistance checks. 
• Traceable results for engineering review and reporting. 

Planned workflow in SDC Verifier 

The intended workflow is to recognize or define supported member sections, map factored model forces to the code inputs, review the governing utilization, and include the check in the project report. Final section and check coverage will be confirmed at release. 

Availability 

This check is on the SDC Verifier roadmap. The final member scope, force combinations, and release timing have not yet been finalized.
