EN 13001 Fatigue (2025)

Planned fatigue verification for crane steel structures according to EN 13001-3-1:2025

About Standard

EN 13001-3-1 sets design requirements for crane steel structures. The planned fatigue support is intended for crane components subject to repeated lifting, travelling, slewing, or duty-cycle loading, where structural life must be assessed against the code methodology.

Target verification scope

  • Fatigue checks for supported crane structural components and details.
  • Use of stress results, load cycles, duty information, and required fatigue parameters.
  • Support for released fatigue assessment methods and component coverage.
  • Report output that identifies the governing fatigue result and assessment basis.

Planned workflow in SDC Verifier

The intended workflow is to select supported structural regions, define the relevant duty and fatigue inputs, map FEA stress results to the calculation, and review the governing result. Final load-spectrum and detail coverage will be confirmed at release.

Availability

This check is on the SDC Verifier roadmap. The final fatigue workflow, supported structural details, and release timing have not yet been finalized.
