F.E.M. 1.001 Weld Strength (1998)

Planned weld-strength verification for hoisting appliances according to F.E.M. 1.001.

About Standard

F.E.M. 1.001 provides design rules for hoisting appliances. The planned weld-strength support is intended for welded components in lifting equipment where the structural load path and weld resistance must be assessed using the applicable design requirements.

Target verification scope

  • Weld-strength checks for supported welded details in hoisting appliances.
  • Use of weld geometry, material properties, and relevant design actions from the FEA model.
  • Support for released static-strength assessment methods and detail types.
  • Report output that shows key inputs, assumptions, and governing results.

Planned workflow in SDC Verifier

The intended workflow is to select supported weld locations, define the required weld data, map model forces or stresses to the calculation, and review the result in the report. Final detail coverage will be confirmed at release.

Availability

This check is on the SDC Verifier roadmap. The final weld-detail scope and release timing have not yet been finalized.
