What’s New in SDC Verifier 2025 R1

New features in SDC Verifier:

  • Now compatible with Ansys 2025 R1, Simcenter 3D 2412 and Femap 2412. SDC Verifier supports model import of Femap 2412.
  • New account based licensing and personal cabinet. 
  • L-shapes added in calculations of Eurocode3 Members (EN 1993-1-1, 2005) and AISC 360-22 Members (2022) standards. 
  • New Standards:
    • DNV RP-C203 Fatigue (2024);
    • LR CSR Plate Buckling (2024);
    • IACS UR S35 Plate Buckling (2023).

Bug Fixes:  

  • EN 13001 Weld Strength check did not include bending stresses in calculations that led to underestimated results for some loads; 
  • Fixed formulas of parameters ‘Y shear’ and ‘Z shear’ in check ‘8..Axial Strength s’ in AISC 360-22 Members (2022) standard; 
  • Fixed formula of parameter ‘Shear resistance per shear plane’ in checks ‘3..Category A and D. Bearing type (non-preloaded)’, ‘5..Category B and E. Slip-resistance at serviceability (Preloaded)’, ‘6..Category C and E. Slip-resistant at ultimate (Preloaded)’ in Eurocode3 Bolts (EN 1993-1-8, 2005) standard; 
  • It was not possible to run Normal modes analysis without loads (SDC for Femap, SDC Verifier); 
  • Failed to create model via File-to-Model and Parametric Crane (SDC for Femap, SDC Verifier); 
  • Model could not be analyzed after converting rigids to active beam (SDC for Femap, SDC Verifier); 
  • Incorrect deformation was displayed in the model after plotting (SDC for Simcenter 3D); 
  • Custom Sections were not recognized in Panel Finder (SDC Verifier); 
  • Sizes of chord/braces were recognized incorrectly in I-beam, RHS and Combined connection types if elements were oriented differently; 
  • Incorrect number of Individual Loads were added when using Harmonic Response analysis (SDC for Ansys); 
  • Default air density value was always in metric unit system in Wind Load; 
  • Weld Strength checks results were not cleared after editing weld sizes in the table in Weld Finder; 
  • Favourable and Unfavourable values are switched in calculation of dynamic factors in Predefined Load cases; 
  • Values with wrong precision were applied in characteristic after editing; 
  • Incorrect properties were read for general shapes if they were modified in Femap after updating the model (SDC for Femap); 
  • Peak Finder tables were not sorted by view in Report Designer; 
  • Units were empty in Material window if custom model unit system was used; 
  • Incorrect unit system conversion was applied in Peak Finder Table; 
  • Arrows where not shown in pressure loads in Mechanical for negative values (SDC for Ansys); 
  • FEM Loads were not correctly synchronized with Mechanical after copying wind load (SDC for Ansys); 
  • Crash appeared when plotting Expand Graph (SDC Verifier); 
  • Legend Format was not taken into account when plotting (SDC for Ansys, SDC for Simcenter 3D); 
  • Main window was blocked after crash and reopening recovered project (SDC Verifier); 
  • Values were displayed in display unit system instead of model unit system in report property item;
