What’s New in SDC Verifier 2024 R2

New features in SDC Verifier:

  • Now compatible with Ansys 2024 R2, Simcenter 3D 2406, and Femap 2406.
  • T-shapes added to AISC 360-10 (2010) and AISC 360-22 (2022) standards.
  • New Standards:
    • ASME BTH-1 standards (2017, 2020, 2023);

  • New load types (wind, snow, wave, buoyancy, etc.) available in Simcenter 3D.
  • Panel Finder:
    • Plates are automatically split if a plate from another plane isn’t fully connected (optional).
    • Improved recognition and grouping of curved and cylindrical plates in sections.
    • Added options to enable/disable the use of predefined stiffeners and girders selections.
  • Predefined Load Cases now support ASCE 7-10 (LRFD) and ASCE 7-10 (WSD) standards.
  • Automatic dynamic factor calculations based on EN 13001 standard.
  • Search function for input usage (constants, characteristics, etc.) and check parameters within check formulas added.
  • Convert contour and criteria plots within both Jobs and Checks into peak finder tables. Now in the main window and report designer.
  • Stiffener Buckling checks now available in Peak Finder and Governing Load.
  • Export commands for Geometry, Femap Neutral, and analysis models: Ansys, Simcenter Nastran, Autodesk Nastran, MSC Nastran, and Marc.

Improvements in SDC Verifier:

  • Enhanced copying geometry via item tree context menu.
  • Copy and paste functionality for dynamic factors in Predefined Load Cases.
  • Drag and drop Femap models for easy import.
  • New “Fit” option added in Views in SDC for Femap and SDC Verifier.
  • Show/hide analysis monitor button included.
  • UI reworks and other minor improvements.

Bug Fixes:

  • Corrected material stress calculations for trapezoidal elements.
  • Fixed occasional application of Display Unit system in plots in report.
  • Display Unit System now applied properly in Peak Finder and Rainflow Counting.
  • Corrected reference points for non-welded side of single fillet welds.
  • Plate list now shows correctly when stopping section analyzer in Panel Finder.
  • Fixed crash after removing panels in Panel Finder and selecting Plates or Stiffeners.
  • Resolved UI issues on laptops with touchscreens in SDC Verifier.
  • Corrected wrong material set after copying properties in SDC Verifier.
  • Fixed export results to Mechanical when using loads from Job of Jobs in SDC for Ansys.
  • Fixed error in stiffener buckling calculation details in checks.
  • General shape image now displays correctly in main window of SDC Verifier and SDC for Femap.
